In plain words
- Staff and owners: open Settings, then Account, then Delete account, in the app or on the website. It takes effect right away.
- No access to the app? Email our support email (coming soon) from the address you sign in with and we will delete it within 30 days.
- Customers who joined a line have no account: use "Delete my info" on your status page, or let it be erased automatically after 30 days.
Delete your staff account in the app or on the website
This works the same in the Walk-In Waitlist app for iOS and Android and on the website's staff pages:
- Open Settings, then go to Account.
- Choose Delete account and confirm.
The account is deleted at once and you are signed out on that device.
If you are the only owner of a shop that has other team members who sign in, make one of them an owner first (Settings, then Team). The app tells you which shops need this.
Ask us to delete it
If you cannot use the app or the website, email our support email (coming soon) from the email address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". If you write from another address, we will ask you to confirm with a code sent to the account's email. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account and email address.
- Your link to every shop: you are removed from each team and your photo is removed.
- If you were the only person in a shop: the shop is closed, its queued texts are cancelled, its invites are removed and its customers' names and phone numbers are erased right away.
What is kept, and why
- Visit history without your account: the visits you served stay in each shop's history and daily numbers, with the name the shop used for you but without your email or any link to an account. The shop owns those business records.
- Billing records: invoices and payments stay with Stripe and in our records as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Records the law asks for: consent records for texts and the opt-out list stay for their own periods (see the Privacy Policy).
- Audit entries: a change our administrators made to a shop keeps a bare id of who made it, not your email.
Cancelling a subscription is separate from deleting an account; see Refunds and Cancellation. An owner should cancel the subscription before deleting the account.
Customers who joined a line
Customers do not have an account. Your first name, phone number and visit link are erased automatically 30 days after your visit (or the period the shop chose). To erase them now, open your status page and choose Delete my info. If you no longer have the link, email our support email (coming soon) with the shop and the date of your visit, and we will help.
To stop texts, reply STOP to any text.
